Games and Events

The Dunedin Scottish Arts Foundation offers many different events throughout the year for the community to enjoy

The Highland Games

Annually held on the first Saturday of April, the games bring together the rich heritage of Scottish, Irish, and Welsh cultures in a friendly competition.

Celtic Music and Craft Beer Festival

The annual festival is traditionally held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and offers a wide variety of Celtic music, dancing, food, crafts, and plenty of craft beer.

Alan McHale

President
Alan was born and raised in Scotland, emigrating to America in 2001. He has been with the Foundation for six years, becoming President in 2013.

Iain Donaldson

Executive Director
Iain is the City’s Director of Scottish Programs and Piping Director.

Moira Donaldson

Secretary
Moira has been with the organization for five years. Moira is a former champion highland dancer who started dancing at the age of three in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Lindsey Dubock Mallon

Executive Director
Lindsey is a new Executive Director, former Highland Dancer, and Instructor of the Isle of Skye Highland Dancing.
